We are seeking a skilled Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our team at the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System in Tucson, Arizona.

About the Job

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and annual performance bonus. The successful candidate will provide psychiatric care to veterans with mental health and substance use disorders on an inpatient unit. As part of an integrated team, you will work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and clinical pharmacists to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide psychiatric diagnosis, treatment, and crisis management services to veterans with mental health and substance use disorders.
  2. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  3. Participate in teaching and supervising Psychiatry Residents and Medical Students on the inpatient psychiatric unit.
  4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in mental health care and adhere to established clinical guidelines.
Requirements
  • Board certification in psychiatry.
  • Experience working in in-patient units.
  • An active and unrestricted license in any US state.
