About the Role

The Learning Community is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to join our team. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, direction, and oversight of all financial and accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to ensure fiscal responsibility and transparency in our operations.
  • Oversee all financial aspects of our organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Manage and mentor staff to encourage organizational and individual growth.
  • Collaborate with our leadership team to ensure alignment with our strategic plan and organizational values.

Requirements:

  • At least five years of demonstrated experience in financial management, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Proven track record of securing grants, donations, and corporate gifts.
  • Experience in managing federal and government contracts, grants, systems, and portals.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, including QuickBooks, DEXT, Network for Good, and Gusto.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
