Psychiatric Care Specialist

At Rutland Regional Medical Center, we are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Technician to join our team in the Psychiatric Services Inpatient Unit. Under the supervision of providers, leadership or RNs, this role will perform various duties to assist in the treatment and care of psychiatric patients in accordance with established methods and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the treatment and care of psychiatric patients, working closely with healthcare providers and other team members.
- Perform various duties, including patient observation, documentation, and communication with healthcare providers.
- Participate in patient care planning and implementation, under the supervision of RNs and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Health or mental health care experience preferred.
- Certificate in mental health technology or related field, such as licensed nursing assistant preferred.
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association required within 1 month of hire.

- Ability to remain calm and think and act effectively in high stress situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.
