At Rutland Regional Medical Center, we are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Technician to join our team in providing exceptional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the supervision of providers, leadership, or RNs, the Psychiatric Technician will perform various duties to assist in the treatment and care of psychiatric patients.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients.
  • Document patient care observations and report any deviations from the patient's plan of care.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Health or mental health care experience preferred.
  • Certificate in mental health technology or related field, such as licensed nursing assistant preferred.
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
  • Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification.

  • Excellent interpersonal and observation skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and think and act effectively in high stress situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.

Pay Range: $17.29 - $25.66

Competitive Differentials:

  • $4.25 - Evenings
  • $8.00 - Nights
  • $4.75 - Weekends
