Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal assistance.
  • Ensure clients adhere to their medication schedules and provide support with mobility.
  • Facilitate transportation for clients to appointments or social outings.
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients' dietary needs.
  • Support clients in their physical rehabilitation exercises.
  • Accompany clients during shopping trips or handle shopping on their behalf.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
  • Document any unusual occurrences and respond appropriately in emergencies.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote daily living skills.
Qualifications
  • Passion for working in a one-on-one environment and a desire to learn and grow professionally.
  • Physical ability to lift and move clients as needed, with a capacity to handle up to 50 pounds.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
  • Demonstrated compassion and supportiveness in caregiving roles.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in healthcare, hospitality, or home care settings.
  • Commitment to maintaining health and safety standards.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with experience as a caregiver or completion of a CNA program preferred.
  • Experience with Hoyer lifts is advantageous.
