Position Summary: The Peer Support Specialist plays a vital role in our non-profit organization by offering guidance and assistance to individuals facing challenges. This position is essential in fostering the empowerment and well-being of those we serve.
Potential Job Hazards:
- Engaging with individuals in crisis situations
- Occasional outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Interaction with individuals in temporary housing situations
- Risk of exposure to hazardous materials
- Physical demands related to lifting and transporting program supplies
- Working in crowded environments
Supervisory Duties: None
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional support and guidance to participants
- Assist in planning and executing program activities
- Lead group discussions and workshops
- Keep detailed records of participant progress
- Work collaboratively with program staff to ensure effective program delivery
