Position SummaryThe Deceased Account Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting members, non-members, and Ent employees with the management and resolution of accounts. This position requires a compassionate approach to guide survivors through a comprehensive and precise process to settle accounts in a respectful and timely manner. It is essential to consider all facets of the account to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with legal obligations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Notification of Death Portfolios
- Evaluate Risks Associated with Accounts
- Documentation Management - Incoming and Outgoing
- Handle Calls and Email Correspondence - Incoming and Outgoing
- Provide Call Center Support
- Update Deceased Account Policies and Procedures
- Adhere to the Bank Secrecy Act and Ent’s policies and procedures
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in member or account services within a financial institution
- Experience in processing transactions related to deceased accounts
- Preferred experience in inbound phone communication
- Preferred experience in new account setups
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of account structures
- Strong familiarity with relevant legal documents such as Death Certificates and Trusts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle financial transactions with precision
- Basic proficiency in standard banking software applications
- Strong organizational capabilities
- Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office and various databases
- Preferred experience with Jack Henry Symitar/Episys
Physical and Psychological Requirements:
- Occasional standing and walking
- Frequent sitting
- Rare lifting and carrying of up to 40 lbs
- Frequent communication and repetitive motions
The compensation for this role is competitive and based on various factors including relevant experience and skills. This position also qualifies for a corporate bonus program based on company performance.
