Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Student Services Associate to join our team at the University of Minnesota. This role will be responsible for coordinating the office's internal and external operations, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the Student Services team in delivering inclusive and equitable student support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate office operations, including managing office technology, shared workspaces, and staff emergency protocol.
  • Provide proactive, inclusive, and equitable customer service to students, parents, faculty, and academic units.
  • Manage the office's physical space, including maintaining a safe, usable, and accessible work environment.
  • Coordinate virtual workspaces, including establishing and maintaining accessible architecture for electronic files.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise student employees to provide culturally competent customer service.
  • Direct and delegate work, approve hours, and monitor progress and deadlines of front desk staff.
  • Manage staff coverage for unit operating hours and office traffic data collection.
  • Conduct bi-weekly student staff meetings, provide developmental coaching, and conduct performance reviews.
Requirements
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience in operations, customer service, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage details, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in office management, customer service, and project coordination.
  • Strong skills in Google Suite, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
