Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Construction Manager with a proven track record in California's commercial construction sector. The ideal candidate will possess 5-10+ years of relevant experience and have successfully overseen projects valued at over $25,000,000.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Project Construction Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Providing on-site leadership and managing all construction activities, ensuring adherence to production, quality control, scheduling, and safety standards.
  • Collaborating closely with Project Managers to develop a comprehensive project plan prior to construction, including a workable critical-path schedule and logistical solutions to potential challenges.
  • Executing the project plan efficiently, ensuring compliance with project documents while maintaining a focus on safety, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with owners, design teams, and subcontractors.
Financial Management:
In this role, you will also:
  • Oversee field project financials, including timesheets, change orders, purchase orders, delivery tickets, and subcontractor work tickets.
  • Work towards reducing project costs while meeting margin expectations.
  • Maintain effective customer management and foster positive working relationships.
Project Coordination:
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Producing accurate schedules and managing subcontractors to meet those schedules, forecasting labor needs, and conducting on-site subcontractor meetings.
  • Reviewing and comprehensively understanding all project documents, including bid documents, specifications, and general conditions.
  • Managing subcontractors through preconstruction conferences, understanding scope through subcontract analysis, and holding weekly meetings.
Quality and Safety Assurance:
To ensure project success, you will:
  • Maintain quality by regularly submitting jobsite photos, striving for minimal punchlist items, and keeping as-built conditions current.
  • Enforce OSHA regulations to maintain a safe and clean jobsite.
  • Oversee stormwater management compliance and ensure quality control.
  • Manage onsite safety programs and coordinate construction activities with customer needs.
Professional Development:
As part of your role, you will:
  • Support the company's business development, marketing, and sales initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends through educational opportunities and professional organizations.
  • Prepare for and present at project interviews.
