Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Graduate Student Support Coordinator to join our team at the School of Sustainability in the College of Global Futures. The successful candidate will provide admissions, advising, and student services coordination for prospective and current students in our online graduate certificate and masters programs related to sustainable food systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional support to students, faculty, and staff through effective communication, problem-solving, and collaboration.
  • Coordinate student services for online degree programs, including admissions, enrollment, and retention.
  • Develop and maintain marketing materials, presentations, and webinars to support graduate student outreach and recruitment.
  • Collaborate with the Swette Center for Sustainable Food Systems on admissions, student progress, enrollment issues, scholarship awards, and advising.
  • Act as a liaison between the School of Sustainability and the College of Global Futures, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Respond to inquiries and interact with prospective and current students through various channels, including phone, email, and virtual settings.
  • Assist with the administration of graduate scholarships through the USDA NextGen Scholars program.
  • Maintain student records and files, providing updates to faculty and staff as needed.
  • Conduct graduate student audits to identify holds that may prevent students from future course registration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the area of assignments.
  • Three years of administrative or program coordination experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
  • Experience in effective collaboration, establishing ongoing working partnerships, and applying knowledge of factors that increase student recruitment, retention, engagement, graduation, satisfaction, and success in higher education.
  • Experience with software programs for tracking student interest, admissions, and progress, such as Salesforce.
  • Experience coordinating student services for online degree programs.
  • Masters degree in a related field.
