At Neighborhood Health Center - WNY, we are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Inventory Coordinator to join our team. As a Pharmacy Inventory Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient management of our pharmaceutical inventory.
Key Responsibilities- Procure and manage pharmaceutical inventory, including invoices, ordering, and returns.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while balancing financial costs.
- Maintain stock to quality standards, including segregation of damaged, expired, and recalled products.
- Support the clinical team with purchasing of clinically administered drugs.
- Comprehend 340B rules and regulations and ensure 340B compliance related to inventory and self-audits.
- Provide feedback and assist in the development of processes to improve compliance and efficiency with 340B.
- Work with the pharmacy manager and VP of Pharmacy to prepare a coverage plan during times of absence.
- Collaborate with other pharmacy employees and indirectly with Neighborhood staff.
- Able to provide cross-coverage for a pharmacy technician as needed.
- Process confidential information and handle such information in a professional manner in accordance with both state and federal laws, as well as policies implemented by Neighborhood.
- Assist with daily processing of automatic refill prescriptions and work closely with the pharmacist team to ensure timely completion based on fluctuating workload.
- Maintain a clean and neat work area, including general cleaning and light maintenance.
- Arrive on time to work and be prepared to start at the time of scheduled shift.
- One year of pharmacy technician experience preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- CPR certification required and must be maintained.
- Counting accuracy with attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Very detail-oriented.
- Proficient with computers and comfortable learning new programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language. A second language of Spanish preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds regularly, more occasionally.
- Ability to walk/sit/stand/bend/twist intermittently throughout the workday.
- Competitive hourly rate of $18 - $21 per hour (based on a full-time, 40-hour work week).
- Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other position-related components.
