About the Role

Eagle Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Shop Foreman to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the maintenance and organization of shop equipment, materials, and inventory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Oversee the maintenance and repair of construction equipment, vehicles, and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring accurate tracking and record-keeping.
  • Supply Chain Management: Coordinate the delivery and pickup of materials and equipment to and from jobsites.
  • Facilities Management: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop and yard, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Team Leadership: Train and coach shop employees, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties.
  • Quality Control: Verify the quality of work performed by shop employees, ensuring it meets the company's standards.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with field and office staff, as well as outside vendors, to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Practical Knowledge: Practical knowledge of construction equipment, tools, and vehicles, including their function, operation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Experience: Experience in either a shop or construction environment, with a strong understanding of equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the physical demands of the job including standing, walking, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Class A or B CDL: Possession of a Class A or B Commercial Driver's License.
  • OSHA Certification: Certification in OSHA requirements and regulations.
  • Strong Mechanical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural details.
