Job Summary

**Electric Supply Co., Inc.** is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our shop and grounds. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the shop, storage yard, and warehouse space, ensuring a safe and secure work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage shop personnel, including deliveries, pre-fabrication, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Receive, store, and manage materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
  • Coordinate delivery services for projects, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of materials.
  • Maintain and manage tool/equipment inventory, performing regular audits and maintenance tasks.
  • Support and manage pre-fabrication requirements for projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain facility security, including doors and gates, to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Establish and maintain open communication with all field personnel and management team members, ensuring seamless collaboration.
  • Attend meetings with management and field personnel, providing updates and insights on shop operations.
  • Enforce safety regulations and protocols, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize workflow and operational efficiency, driving business growth.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling deliveries, timecards, JHAs, and other related duties.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid SD Driver's License.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position and/or construction/manufacturing trades.
  • Understanding and ability to utilize work optimization techniques.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements and procedures (i.e. OSHA 10-Hour).
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, Xcel, and other related software.
