Behavioral Intervention Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Intervention Specialist to join our team at the Healing Lodge of the Seven Nations. As a key member of our residential treatment program, you will play a vital role in providing 24/7 resident-centered care to adolescents with co-occurring disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Effectively redirect behaviors involving risk of physical harm to self or others or the destruction of property.
- Successfully complete daily written reports within the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system for each client, documenting client successes and concerning behaviors.
- Provide ongoing assessments of progress and create general strategies for behavior assessment.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and crisis intervention, while maintaining a professional and ethical demeanor.
- Establish a helping relationship with clients by demonstrating empathy, respect, and genuineness to build trust.
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of one year's relevant work experience and/or training working with adolescents and teenagers.
- Successful completion of the Residential Child and Youth Care Professional (RCYCP) training preferred.
- Knowledge in Native American culture/spiritual traditions and practices preferred.
