Job Title: Clinical Specialist - Crisis Intervention

Frontier Behavioral Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist to join our team in Spokane. As a member of our co-deployed team with the Spokane Fire Department, Spokane Police Department, or the Sheriff's Department, you will provide crisis intervention services to individuals and families of all ages.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment, responding to emergency calls and providing stabilization services to divert individuals from jail, emergency departments, or inpatient psychiatric treatment. You will complete assessments of risk to determine the best course of action and facilitate access to crisis hospital diversion resources.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with emergency responders to respond to emergency calls and provide crisis intervention services
  • Complete assessments of risk to determine the best course of action
  • Facilitate access to crisis hospital diversion resources
  • Assist individuals in obtaining basic needs such as housing, financial assistance, medical services, and other resources
  • Effectively utilize customer service and motivational interviewing skills to promote appropriate customer-centered care
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in the behavioral sciences
  • One year of experience working with psychiatrically impaired populations
  • Must be eligible for Agency Affiliation in the state of Washington
  • Must pass a Law Enforcement Interview and Background Check
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years of experience working with psychiatrically impaired populations
  • Experience working with emergency responders such as police or fire departments
Pay Range:

$25.89 - $41.06 per hour, based on degree level and licensure
