Job Description

Overview

Safran Seats is seeking a highly skilled Dynamic FEA Engineer to join our team. As a member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in the development of advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations and analyses to evaluate the dynamic behavior and performance of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced FEA simulations and analyses to evaluate the dynamic behavior and performance of mechanical systems.
  • Work closely with our engineering team to ensure the structural integrity, reliability, and performance optimization of our products.
  • Develop and implement appropriate modeling techniques, boundary conditions, and material properties to accurately simulate real-world dynamic scenarios.
  • Analyze and interpret FEA results to identify potential design flaws, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  • Validate model with test and establish correlation.
  • Optimize design based on analysis and test results.
  • Prepare technical presentations for product engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Aeronautical Engineering or related.
  • 1 year of finite element analysis experience using LS-Dyna or Radioss, Altair HyperWorks suite, ANSYS or equivalent software package.
  • Knowledge of NASTRAN.
  • Strong background in basic structural engineering such as free body diagrams and strength of materials.
  • Knowledge of FEA using LS-Dyna or Radioss, Altair HyperWorks suite, ANSYS or equivalent software package.
  • Broad understanding of finite element analysis and failure modes.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve problems.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present analysis findings to stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience of FEA using LS-Dyna or Radioss, Altair HyperWorks suite tools.
  • Knowledge of FAA (Part 25) and airframes manufacturer requirements.
  • Basic ProE/CATIA skill.
  • Knowledge of stochastic/statistical tools (DOE).
