Position Overview

  • This role is designed for remote work.
  • Candidates must reside in the Tampa, FL metro area.
  • Minimal travel required, up to 10%.

Key Responsibilities

The Automation Support Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for automation-related inquiries, focusing on both technical assistance and enhancing customer experiences. Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and upholding the quality management system.
  • Providing Level I and Level II technical support, both remotely and on-site, to ensure optimal product performance and address customer concerns.
  • Conducting proactive service support to maintain system efficiency, utilizing standard troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Assessing the urgency of service requests and formulating solutions that align with customer and business needs.
  • Documenting customer interactions and resolutions accurately and promptly.
  • Planning and prioritizing customer engagements to maximize effectiveness.
  • Facilitating training sessions to empower customers in troubleshooting and maintaining their systems.
  • Coordinating product orders, deliveries, and billing processes.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring timely replenishment.
  • Driving service contract sales within assigned accounts.
  • Collaborating with account managers to develop tailored strategies for customer engagement.
  • Understanding the competitive landscape to identify and leverage business opportunities.
  • Building strong relationships to uncover insights for potential value expansion.
  • Meeting revenue generation targets and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Managing parts utilization within budgetary constraints.
  • Contributing to the effectiveness of the corrective and preventive action (CAPA) system through accurate documentation.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in laboratory instrumentation.
  • At least 2 years of experience in customer-facing roles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a Field Service Engineer.
  • Background in Medical Technology or Biomedical Engineering.
