Your Role's Impact:

The Quality Assurance Automation Specialist will be tasked with formulating test strategies and executing those strategies according to established testing protocols. This role also entails the creation of automation scripts utilizing Selenium with Java and crafting SQL queries.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and execute test scenarios based on user requirements; report findings and oversee defect resolution.
  • Create automated testing scripts.
  • Ensure traceability from business needs through test scenarios to automated scripts.
  • Review test scenarios and automation strategies with team members to guarantee thorough coverage and gather feedback.
  • Monitor test execution progress, communicate issues and risks that may impact project timelines.
  • Design suitable end-to-end business scenarios through a comprehensive understanding of business objectives.
  • Collaborate with delivery pipeline teams to foster adoption and address outstanding issues.
  • Identify dependencies related to environmental and data needs; manage and sustain environment and data.
  • Provide guidance to peers regarding test coverage and test scenarios.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the product being delivered.
  • Ensure compliance with processes and maintain relevant documentation.
  • Integrate risk and control processes into daily responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risks; escalate as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Essential Skills for Success:

  • Proficient in Selenium with Java and TestNG with substantial hands-on experience
  • Extensive background in testing components based on modern scripting languages.
  • Skilled in writing complex SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Micro-focus ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins
  • Experienced in Agile/Waterfall methodologies, including onsite/offshore collaboration.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the software implementation lifecycle, particularly testing models, methodologies, and processes.
  • Experience in both front-end and back-end testing using Java and Selenium.
  • Detailed understanding of smoke testing, black-box, non-black box testing, and regression testing.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both business clients and technical teams, and to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Preferred experience in the Capital Markets sector.

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Actual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
