Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Systems Specialist to join our team at Moffitt Cancer Center. As a key member of our Facilities Department, you will be responsible for implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining a variety of components within our Building Automation System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Repair Systems: Troubleshoot, calibrate, repair, and commission field and panel-mounted devices, as well as associated control algorithms for HVAC and building environmental automation systems.
  • Design and Implement Automation Systems: Design and implement DDC Ladder-Logic programming, create and modify existing front-end control graphics and dashboards.
  • Install and Commission Systems: Assist in the design, installation, and commissioning of new and modified automation systems, including additional card readers and door controls, relocation of devices and sensors, VAV controllers, and implementation of various building automation hardware and computer software.
  • Perform Quality Control Checks: Conduct quality control checks of new projects and support retro-commissioning efforts on existing systems to ensure proper installation methods are being followed and codes and Moffitt standards are being met.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GED required; minimum of five (5) years building automation control system installation and repair, or minimum of three (3) years as a controls technician for a healthcare or campus-based organization.
  • Credentials and Qualifications: Valid Florida driver's license required; ability to work various work shifts and/or weekends as needed; ability to travel between other Moffitt Cancer Center facilities; evidence of a good driving record and maintenance of a good record per Moffitt policy.
