Key ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibility of the Host is to serve as the initial point of contact for guests, overseeing reservations, addressing inquiries, and enhancing the overall guest experience in alignment with company standards.
- Warmly greet all guests as they enter and exit the restaurant, offering sincere salutations and expressions of gratitude.
- Handle phone inquiries following established company protocols, providing information and directing calls to management or taking messages as needed.
- Manage restaurant reservations utilizing the company’s POS and booking systems.
- Stay informed about large parties and events, guiding guests accordingly.
- Seat guests at tables, distribute menus, and notify the service team of new arrivals.
- Monitor restaurant capacity and table availability to optimize seating arrangements and provide accurate wait time estimates to guests. Notify management of any issues regarding table availability or reservation times.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the host stand and restaurant entrance at all times.
- Assist the service team with clearing and setting tables to ensure readiness for new guests.
- Ensure that menus are up-to-date, clean, and visually appealing.
- Support other tasks as required, including stocking supplies at the host stand and service areas, cleaning, and other duties.
- All employees are expected to adhere to proper cleaning and hygiene standards.
- Additional responsibilities and projects, such as deep cleaning tasks, may be assigned as necessary.
- Demonstrated service-oriented mindset with exceptional customer service skills and effective interpersonal abilities.
- Previous experience in the hospitality or service industry is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and complete responsibilities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to collaborate with the team to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
- Possession of all necessary certifications (e.g., Food Handlers Card, LEAD Training, etc.).
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays is essential for this role.
The Host position is situated in a bustling restaurant atmosphere. Employees will encounter various hazards, including heavy objects, cooking equipment, wet and hot surfaces, and crowded areas. Compliance with all safety regulations is mandatory for those working in these environments.
Additional Information- This is a part-time, hourly position.
- A valid Food Handler Card is required for all staff. If not available upon hire, employees will have 30 days to obtain and present the card.
- Restaurant operating hours are from 11 AM to 9 PM daily.
- Compensation is set at $17.00 per hour, with eligibility for tips.
