Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties, including coordinating patient case materials, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of all documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient case materials for conferences and tumor boards
  • Process attorney requests for patient slides and maintain related documentation
  • Assist in generating and managing reports as directed by the supervisor, medical director, and lab director
  • Perform all administrative functions, including answering calls, maintaining office supplies, and filing microscope slides and tissue blocks
  • Work in conjunction with the Pathology and Lab team to ensure adherence to quality, safety, regulatory, certification, and accreditation standards
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • Laboratory or pathology experience preferred
  • Competent with medical terminology and knowledgeable with laboratory policies, procedures, and services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to utilize multiple computer systems and learn specimen requirements for ordering anatomical pathology tissue testing and processing
