We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, staff, physicians, students, and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide security services to patients, visitors, and staff, promoting a safe and secure environment.
  • Respond to emergency situations, using de-escalation skills to resolve conflicts and ensure the safety of all individuals.
  • Patrol hospital grounds, buildings, and parking areas to prevent and investigate incidents.
  • Secure and unsecure buildings using access systems, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access.
  • Investigate and report hazards, unusual or suspicious circumstances, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Valid Oregon Driver's License and a clear driving record.
  • State of Oregon DPSST Private Security Certification as an Unarmed Security Officer within 30 days of hire.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
  • One year of experience in law enforcement or security, with healthcare security experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
