We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Security Guard to join our team at Umpqua Community College. As a Classified Part-Time Security Guard, you will be responsible for providing security functions and assisting with shift coverage during national holidays, school closures, or to fill in for full-time officer vacations or illnesses.
Key Responsibilities- Provide security functions and maintain a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, and staff
- Assist with shift coverage during national holidays, school closures, or to fill in for full-time officer vacations or illnesses
- Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance as needed
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff
- High School diploma or GED
- One year experience in a security, police, or military capacity or security experience and basic knowledge of contemporary security and property protection techniques and methodologies
- Valid Oregon driver's license
- College coursework or degree in a related field
- Experience working in a higher education setting
