Role Summary

We are seeking experienced Automated Welding Technicians to become integral members of our team. This role involves the maintenance and configuration of all automated welding and assembly machinery, including robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup of welding machinery in designated areas, including robotic systems.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on spot welders to ensure the production of high-quality components.
  • Collaborate with management to enhance welding operations and maximize equipment uptime.
  • Order or fabricate spare parts for welding machines as necessary.
  • Assess and recommend suitable equipment for specific applications.
  • Provide training to operators on preventive maintenance and repair procedures for welding equipment.
  • Repair and replace moving components, such as cylinders and welding heads.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks on equipment, including electrical repairs and adjustments.
  • Program welding controllers and other machine interface devices.
  • Adhere to all company principles, guidelines, and policies.
  • Understand and comply with company procedures.
  • Enforce the use of safety equipment in the work area.
  • Encourage teamwork and continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A two-year technical degree is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in setting up and troubleshooting spot welders.
  • Proficiency in computer programming for robotic systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of welding fixtures.
  • In-depth understanding of robotic welding processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret welding schematics and symbols.
  • Strong grasp of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience in spot welding, MIG welding, and robotics is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A motivated, detail-oriented team player.
