Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at American Tank & Fabricating Co. as a Fabrication Specialist. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for welding various parts in different materials, conducting dimensional inspections, and adhering to lean manufacturing initiatives and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Weld various parts in different materials, including carbon, stainless, and high alloy steels
  • Conduct dimensional inspections of parts and check for quality requirements
  • Understand and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Grind, sand, and cut (oxy fuel and hand plasma) as needed
  • Adhere to lean manufacturing initiatives, quality requirements, and safety programs
  • Perform general welding and shop duties as needed

Requirements

  • Experience in welding of carbon, stainless, or high alloy steels
  • Experience in FCAW and GMAW Spray Transfer
  • Experience welding thick to thin structural members
  • Strong overall mechanical aptitude
  • High school diploma or equivalent
