Job Summary

The Director of Education is a key leadership role at Sylvan Learning - Bellevue, responsible for delivering high-quality educational programs and ensuring the ongoing education needs of our families are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Delivery: Ensure that Sylvan education programs are delivered by teachers as designed, and that students receive a personalized learning experience.
  • Student Progress: Monitor student performance, meet regularly with families, and connect with school teachers to ensure the application of skills learned in the classroom.
  • Staff Development: Observe and coach instructional staff to ensure they follow Sylvan's Instructional Management guidelines and deliver robust instructional sessions.
  • Center Operations: Manage Center operations, including customer account management, when the Center Director is unavailable.
  • Communication: Communicate regularly with the Center Director to ensure quality and consistency of the customer experience.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of one or two years of teaching experience, preferably in a supervisor role.
  • Skills: Proven ability to engage, motivate, and inspire students to learn; strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of current educational policy, instructional technology, and tablet computers.
What We Offer
  • Salary: $45-$55K per year.
