About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at McLean Hospital, a comprehensive psychiatric hospital committed to providing exceptional mental health services.

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic milieu. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing accurate and timely documentation of patient information
  • Establishing therapeutic relationships with patients and maintaining professional boundaries
  • Participating in patient rounds and teams
  • Identifying patient behaviors that contribute to crisis situations and utilizing de-escalation techniques
  • Communicating changes in patient status to the RN

You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized environment, identifying and reporting house cleaning and equipment problems, and participating in the unit's inventory system.

Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required
