Job Summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential support to patients with behavioral health needs, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one support to patients with behavioral health needs, promoting a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Monitor patient behavior and respond to acute episodes in a supportive and de-escalating manner.
  • Collaborate with Registered Nurses and medical staff to implement safety measures and prevent elopement.
  • Conduct environmental checks and identify risk factors to ensure patient safety.
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living and vital signs as directed by the Registered Nurse.
  • Complete patient care documentation and administrative duties.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED, Associate's Degree preferred.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification within three months of hire.
  • Welle De-escalation training within six months of hire.
  • Six months of practical experience in a behavioral health or educational setting preferred.
