Position Overview:

The Clinical Research Associate I (CRA) will be an integral member of the clinical research team at the PRIME Clinic and Treatment Program. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including assisting in the recruitment of participants for research studies, organizing schedules, preparing necessary materials for study visits and therapy sessions, conducting structured interviews, and gathering specific data across multiple locations in accordance with established study protocols. The CRA will also be tasked with performing chart reviews to identify eligibility criteria for studies, ensuring compliance during regulatory visits, and documenting interactions and services in alignment with clinic policies. Additionally, the Clinical Research Associate will conduct data entry as required by study protocols and support literature reviews for publication efforts.

This individual will engage in presentations and community outreach, facilitating the orientation and involvement of participants in research protocols. The Clinical Research Associate will also assist in coordinating participant care between the clinic and external providers under the supervision of PRIME Clinic's clinicians. Attendance at weekly team meetings, recruitment discussions, and one-on-one supervision sessions for professional development is expected.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conducts research and gathers data through site or home visit intakes, library research, structured interviews, or other methods for designated research assignments. 2. Records and compiles information related to research data, coding it according to research specifications. Utilizes computer systems to input and retrieve data and generate reports. 3. Processes and summarizes data using scientific or statistical methods. Aids in data interpretation and analysis, reporting on the status of research activities. 4. Recruits study participants, ensuring that recruitment and follow-up procedures are adhered to as per protocol. 5. Manages inventory of supplies and may assist in designing, developing, and modifying research experiments, procedures, or survey instruments. 6. Performs additional functions related to research activities as needed.

Required Education and Experience:

Six years of relevant work experience, with four years in the same job family at a lower level, and a high school diploma; or four years of relevant work experience with an Associate's degree; or minimal work experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

Required Skills:

1. Familiarity (paid or volunteer) with conducting psychiatric interviews and assessments. 2. Proven ability (paid or volunteer) and comfort level in working with individuals experiencing serious mental health conditions. 3. Demonstrated capability (paid or volunteer) in engaging participants in research protocols and coordinating the scheduling of study visits. 4. Ability to prepare participants for visits, including biological specimen collection and data management, while maintaining research or medical records. 5. Knowledge of IRB procedures and consent processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in a related field. Prior experience in conducting psychiatric interviews, assessments, and evaluations with individuals at high risk for psychosis. Experience in engaging patients in treatment and familiarity with IRB procedures and consent processes. Experience in collecting biological specimens is also preferred.

Weekend and Evening Hours:

Occasional availability may be required.
