Role Overview:

The Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the enrollment of new and existing participants in clinical trials. This role involves executing a variety of pre-screening assessments to establish eligibility for participation in research studies. The Coordinator will implement recruitment strategies while adhering to all regulatory guidelines to ensure the confidentiality of participant information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for prospective participants, providing detailed information about clinical research and available studies.
  • Clearly communicate study protocols, procedures, compensation details, and organizational policies to potential participants in a professional manner.
  • Evaluate participant qualifications based on collected information in accordance with study-specific inclusion and exclusion criteria.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential participant records, ensuring documentation is accessible and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Engage with participants through various communication methods, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements for recruitment and follow-up.
  • Organize and schedule study screenings and dosing groups, managing appointments effectively.
  • Foster a positive rapport with participants to build trust in the clinical research process.
  • Conduct database maintenance and participate in targeted outreach initiatives.
  • May assist in training new staff members and take on additional responsibilities within the recruitment team.

Daily Activities:

  • Conduct pre-screening for clinical trial studies.
  • Review participant eligibility for ongoing studies.
  • Gather and assess participant background information.
  • Determine candidate suitability for studies based on established criteria.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in medical terminology.
  • Strong clinical insight and ability to multitask across various systems.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and ethical conduct.
  • Demonstrated independent decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience in phone intake and triage processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a clinical environment (research or healthcare).
  • Licensed healthcare professional (RN, LPN).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in patient evaluation and intervention.

This position requires a commitment to participant interaction without engaging in clinical procedures.
