Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Public Works Specialist. This role will be responsible for leading the preparation, maintenance, and repair of concrete projects in the City of Hampton, VA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation, maintenance, and repair of concrete projects, including reading and interpreting engineering plans.
  • Plan and coordinate curb and gutter layout from information from survey grade stakes and cut sheets.
  • Work under close supervision to ensure compliance with set procedures.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of full-time equivalent experience in concrete construction, maintenance, and repair work.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B or ability to obtain within 180 days.
  • Pass a background check prior to employment.
