Public Works Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Public Works Specialist. This role will be responsible for leading the preparation, maintenance, and repair of concrete projects in the City of Hampton, VA.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the preparation, maintenance, and repair of concrete projects, including reading and interpreting engineering plans.
- Plan and coordinate curb and gutter layout from information from survey grade stakes and cut sheets.
- Work under close supervision to ensure compliance with set procedures.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of full-time equivalent experience in concrete construction, maintenance, and repair work.
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B or ability to obtain within 180 days.
- Pass a background check prior to employment.
