Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish, execute, and uphold internal financial controls to protect company resources, guarantee the accuracy of financial information, mitigate risks, and encourage prudent financial governance.
  • Prepare and assess financial reports, statements, and budgets to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal protocols.
  • Collaborate with external partners, including financial institutions and property management, to maintain precise records.
  • Organize and facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring that all documentation is thorough and accurate.
  • Analyze expenditures and operational costs, pinpointing opportunities for cost savings and efficiency enhancements.
  • Assist in the formulation and oversight of budgets, providing analytical support for financial strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and coordinate with tax professionals.
  • Engage with various departments (finance, operations, HR) to align financial insights with business goals.
  • Support regular data entry and accounting tasks, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and payment processing.
  • Review monthly financial reporting, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Facilitate month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA certification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in accounting, including audit, tax, or financial analysis.
  • Preferred experience in a supervisory role.
  • Proficient in accounting software, with QuickBooks as a requirement.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Strong analytical abilities, precision, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organizational capabilities.
  • Proficient in a Windows environment with strong knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Experience with financial reporting, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Familiarity with journal entries and monthly reconciliations.
  • Ability to accurately interpret financial data and generate precise reports, identifying and rectifying discrepancies.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and GAAP standards.
  • Understanding of financial challenges within the finance and leasing sector is advantageous.
