About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a key member of the surgical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a safe and efficient surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the surgical environment, including setting up and cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Assist the surgical team with patient care, including positioning, draping, and maintaining asepsis.
  • Monitor and maintain the surgical site, including handling and disposing of instruments and supplies.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, as needed.
Requirements
  • Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a surgical setting, preferably in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to maintain a safe and efficient work environment, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality patient care.
