We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the surgical field and supplies/instruments for procedures
  • Assist in emergency situations as assigned
  • Maintain a safe work environment according to regulatory agency standards
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide a cooperative work environment
  • Participate in unit/hospital committees and projects
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of scrub experience (preferred)
  • High school graduate or GED
  • Completion of ST program in an accredited school approved by NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)
  • CPR certification
  • CST Certification approved by NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. The ability to stand for long periods of time and to communicate effectively with colleagues and patients is also essential.
