About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team in Morton Grove, Illinois.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the surgical field, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care and support.
  • Participate in the maintenance of a clean and organized operating room, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a positive and respectful experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical technologies and procedures, participating in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required; completion of a Surgical Technologist program in an accredited school approved by NBSTSA or NCCT.
  • 1-2 years of scrub experience preferred.
  • CPR certification and CST certification approved by NBSTSA required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
