Position Overview


The Clinical Dietitian plays a vital role in delivering optimal nutritional care to patients. This professional assesses patients' dietary needs, develops tailored care plans, and monitors their effectiveness. The Dietitian also provides essential nutrition education to patients and their families, ensuring they understand the importance of dietary choices in their health journey.


Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the nutritional status of patients and create individualized care plans.
  • Implement and assess the effectiveness of nutritional interventions.
  • Educate patients and families on nutrition-related topics.
  • Approve dietary supplements as necessary and contribute to the hospital's formulary development.


Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian credential is mandatory.
  • Current Dietitian license in Texas is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
