Position Overview

The Environmental Services Technician II plays a crucial role in executing a variety of tasks, including but not limited to confined space entries, general site labor, industrial cleanings, and operating heavy machinery and vacuum trucks. This position requires the technician to utilize various equipment such as pressure washers, generators, pumps, and other powered tools while adhering to company policies, OSHA regulations, and all applicable laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with hazardous and non-hazardous materials safely.
  • Operate pressure washing equipment, generators, and liquid pumps, and manage specialty vacuum trucks as necessary.
  • Perform tasks related to chemical, oil, and water spill response.
  • Conduct daily activities involving confined space entry, pneumatic tools, electrical tools, and hand tools.
  • Maintain clear communication with the on-site supervisor and/or foreman.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening, physical examination, and background check.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred experience in construction, environmental, or industrial settings.
  • Ability to routinely lift 50 pounds.
  • Capability to climb ladders and perform various physical activities.
  • Willingness to enter confined spaces and work at heights with appropriate safety gear.
  • Ability to wear a full-face respirator when necessary.
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight trips, as required.
  • Proficient in using and maneuvering handheld equipment.
  • Comfortable working in outdoor conditions with exposure to noise.

Preferred Skills/Certifications:

  • 40-hour HAZWOPER Training Certificate.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Safety Certification.
  • Confined Space Entry Training.
  • Fall Protection Training.
  • Lock-Out Tag-Out Training.

Compensation:

The anticipated hourly wage for this role is $25.00. This estimate reflects our expectations for compensation, which may vary based on individual experience, skills, and location.
