Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Superintendent to join our team at Sevenson Environmental Services, Inc. as a key member of our Project Management & Field Supervision department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Provide overall direction and guidance to foremen, field personnel, and sub-contractors in collaboration with project managers, construction managers, and project engineers to ensure successful completion of contracts.
  • Safety Management: Comprehend and administer a safety program that provides for a safe work environment, meeting or exceeding company safety policies and fostering a culture that expects participation at all levels.
  • Communication and Representation: Represent company supervision and management at assigned projects, maintaining communication with various contractors, sub-contractors, and local union representatives.
  • Project Coordination: Direct and coordinate the activities of various trade groups on job sites, ensuring positive work progress according to schedule, material, and equipment delivery.
  • Quality Control: Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule, and is staffed appropriately.
  • Project Planning and Implementation: Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site functions, providing input on scheduling, engineering, and material control to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Compliance and Support: Comply, understand, and support corporate safety, quality, and environmental initiatives to ensure a compliant work environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Leadership and Experience: Demonstrated leadership ability and 5-10 years' experience on environmental remediation construction projects, with supervisory experience including excavation, earthwork, dewatering, sheet piling, water, and sediment work.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong understanding of environmental remediation methods, heavy construction equipment, project scheduling, planning, and blueprint reading.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills, with experience working in a union environment a plus.
