Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our APS team as an Assistant Vice President. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to our business users, ensuring seamless execution of our trading operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily technical support to business users, resolving issues and answering queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the business to understand their IT needs and workflows, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Maintain a high level of coverage during designated shifts, providing support in times of need, including production issues.
  • Voluntarily take on additional work and tasks as received, demonstrating a proactive and flexible approach.
  • Document and train other team members, ensuring knowledge sharing and continuity.
  • Shadow other team members to improve day-to-day coverage of our platforms.
  • Contribute to the development of scripts and automated tasks to improve efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Strong technical skills, including scripting languages (perl/python), databases, SQL, networking, market data, Windows, and Linux.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with business users and technical teams.
  • Proven experience in trading floor environments, with a strong understanding of Equities or Derivatives (Futures and Options).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of the FIX protocol and monitoring experience (Geneos/ITRS).
