Job Overview

Astin Aviation is in search of dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to fill the role of Line Service Technician. This position is ideal for those who thrive in a dynamic environment and possess exceptional customer service skills, particularly in the aviation sector.

As a Full-Time Line Service Technician, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch services to our clientele at the airport. The role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed. We value long-term commitment due to the extensive training involved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct aircraft to designated parking areas.
  • Welcome crews and passengers, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
  • Assist with baggage and cargo handling.
  • Process and document fuel orders accurately.
  • Provide into-plane service of fuel products in accordance with specifications.
  • Perform additional aircraft services as required.
  • Operate and maintain various airport equipment, including fuel trucks and ground power units.
  • Reposition and store aircraft as necessary.
  • Occasionally handle cashier duties, including invoicing and communication.
  • Promote safety in all operational activities.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and operational guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Experience in airport services is advantageous.
  • Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications and office software.
  • Experience operating trucks or heavy vehicles is preferred.
  • Preferred qualifications include First Aid and fire fighting training.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates must be capable of performing physical tasks such as climbing, lifting, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Personal protective equipment will be provided for safety in a noisy environment.
