Through our in-depth engineering collaborations with customers and teams throughout Microsoft, we assess and enhance customer requirements, driving the vision to elevate Cloud quality, security, and reliability.

We are seeking a Lead Technical Program Manager to join our Azure Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, where we prioritize enhancing reliability fundamentals through software engineering, favoring sustainable platform enhancements delivered as engineering initiatives over repetitive manual tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Champion and support the product quality and cybersecurity strategy for Cloud + AI services through effective portfolio management and ongoing quantitative and qualitative assessments.

- Collaborate across various product groups and leadership levels to facilitate the planning and execution of engineering priorities aligned with the Cloud + AI quality and cybersecurity strategy.

- Drive continuous enhancements to both customer and internal engineer experiences through established project, program, process, and change management methodologies.

- Rapidly innovate and validate concepts through data analysis and the implementation of pilot programs and experiments.

- Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify significant actions that enhance delivery against the Cloud + AI quality and cybersecurity portfolio.

- Establish closed-loop processes and promote accountability through data-driven progress tracking and stakeholder engagement.

- Apply systems thinking and a standards-based approach to tackle challenges at scale, leveraging automation.

- Foster a healthy and inclusive team culture.

- Lead by example and mentor team members.

- Provide extensive business and technical expertise as necessary to support strategic development.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development.
- 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development.
- 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- 1+ year(s) experience in coding (e.g., sample documentation, product demonstrations).
Compensation:
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year.
