Accounting Manager Job Description

At Primo Water, we are committed to empowering our associates to live our shared values and provide opportunities for growth and development. We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train staff accountants to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Review and approve monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Collaborate with frontline, sales, customer service, and revenue management teams to resolve account balance issues and improve financial processes
  • Lead the team's efforts to reduce the time and effort required to achieve an expeditious close while maintaining and improving the quality of the close
  • Assist in special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Accounting experience within a large public or private company, with a focus on month-end close and tight deadlines
  • Experience in ensuring audit objectives are met
  • Competent in GAAP accounting and experience with GAAP research
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Oracle ERP experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups, and macros
  • Essbase experience is a plus
  • Ability to identify and accurately resolve open items
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a proven track record of leadership
