Fairfield Residential is seeking an experienced Community Manager to join their team at Chroma Apartments in Canoga Park. As a Community Manager, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team and ensuring the property's revenue and profit targets are met while maintaining best-in-class standards for customer service and resident retention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, lead, motivate, and develop a diverse staff.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and ongoing feedback to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare, execute, and own the property's operational budget.
  • Utilize Yardi to generate and review reports to ensure the property is within budgeted expectations.
  • Oversee customer collections and implement legal proceedings when necessary.
  • Ensure budgeted occupancy levels and rental rates are met.
  • Prepare and conduct property inspections and corporate or investor tours.
  • Maintain a collaborative working relationship with the on-site professional team.
  • Ensure the effective execution of marketing programs and represent the property accurately on marketing assets.
  • Increase resident satisfaction through lease renewal strategies and resident retention plans.

Requirements:

  • 3 or more years of hands-on property management experience.
  • Multifamily property experience required.
  • A successful track record as a supervisor is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and budgeting.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of Yardi or other property management accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local fair housing laws and provisions.
  • A previous track record of maintaining occupancy and net operating incomes in multi-family property management position(s).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Industry certification preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and some holidays.
  • Valid driver's license required.
