Job Summary

The Los Angeles Community College District is seeking a dynamic and motivated Adjunct Coach to lead our Women's Volleyball team. As a part-time faculty member, you will be responsible for coaching and mentoring student-athletes, developing and implementing game plans, and promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, coach, and mentor student-athletes to achieve academic and athletic success
  • Develop and implement game plans, strategies, and tactics to ensure team success
  • Communicate effectively with student-athletes, staff, and administrators to promote a positive team culture
  • Manage team operations, including scheduling, travel, and equipment
  • Collaborate with the Athletic Department to ensure compliance with district and conference regulations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in coaching or a related field
  • OR Associate's degree and six years of professional experience in coaching or a related field
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and promote a positive team culture
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in coaching, sports management, or a related field
  • Experience working with student-athletes in a community college setting
  • Knowledge of athletic recruitment methods and techniques
  • Ability to lead and guide student-athletes in area of specialty
