Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solar Energy Program Director to lead our commercial solar business development efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing solar energy programs, developing business strategies, and managing sales efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Development and Management:
    • Design and implement solar energy programs to meet business objectives.

  • Sales and Business Development:

  • Battery Energy Storage (BES) Integration:

    • Ensure seamless integration of BES systems with solar installations.
    • Stay updated on the latest BES technologies and industry trends.
  • Client and Stakeholder Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
    • Define project requirements, scope, and objectives to ensure clear communication.
    • Ensure clear understanding of expectations and project timelines.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Obtain all necessary permits and licenses for solar and BES installations.
    • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in solar energy project management and sales.
  • Strong knowledge of solar energy systems, including design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Proven track record in sales and business development.
  • Experience with Battery Energy Storage (BES) systems.
  • Proficiency with project management software and tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with solar and BES design and analysis software (e.g., Helioscope).
  • Knowledge of financial incentives and regulatory requirements for solar and BES.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
