Job Title: Titans After School Program Instructor

CSU Fullerton, Auxiliary Services Corporation (ASC) is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Titans After School Program Instructor. This is a part-time opportunity that requires a strong commitment to working with a group of up to 25 students.

Job Summary:

The Titans After School Program Instructor will be responsible for implementing educational enrichment activities, providing tutoring and homework assistance, and ensuring the students receive constant supervision and a safe and supported environment. The ideal candidate will have high energy, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to maintain a fun and organized atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement all Titans After School Program rules and procedures and display professionalism at all times.
  • Support the supervisor by following their directions and communicating regularly with the Site Coordinator.
  • Responsible for managing service learners, interns, and volunteers at the site.
  • Provide students with educational enrichment, including positive youth development strategies, recreation, prevention activities, and the ability to teach youth positive life skills.
  • Provide tutoring and homework assistance.
  • Ensure the students receive constant supervision and provides a safe and supported environment at all times.
  • Implement all Titans After School Program curriculum, including Buena Park: Let's Learn, Meet the Masters, Math Readers, Battle of the Books, STEM, Comic Books.
  • Create and implement an engaging educational curriculum every month upon approval of their direct supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to solely manage a classroom of 20-23 students.
  • Understanding behavior management and effective disciplinary techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional interpersonal and partnering relationship skills.
  • Ability to keep track of all curriculum and binders at the site.
  • Enthusiastic and highly motivated with team-building skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel) and Google Drive (i.e. Docs, Sheets).
Education:
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
Physical Demands:

The position may require short or prolonged periods of sitting in front of a computer, standing, walking, talking, hearing, pulling, bending, and carrying pounds of objects/material.
