As a Dog Trainer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Interacting confidently with dogs of various sizes.
  • Ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all dogs by adhering to our Dog Safety protocols.
  • Working independently while also accepting guidance on assigned tasks.
  • Maintaining a tidy work environment.
  • Being physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Exhibiting a consistent work ethic and clear communication.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage client communications for scheduling purposes.
  • Organize and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for client and pet records.
  • Provide clients with necessary information and support.
  • Utilize our management systems for effective communication.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and professional communication skills.
  • Advocate for pets through client education.
  • Conduct temperament assessments for new clients.
  • Engage with the Puppy Paws team and dogs daily to enhance training techniques and safety.
  • Maintain a positive demeanor in all interactions.
  • Show empathy towards clients and treat pets with dignity and care.
  • Conduct facility tours and participate in off-site events.
  • Lead group training sessions and individual training.
  • Deliver formal presentations effectively.
  • Observe and assess dog behaviors to determine appropriate training methods.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
  • Apply critical thinking to identify effective solutions.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage challenging situations.
