This role begins with on-the-job training as a bather. Following your apprenticeship, you may apply for entry into our exclusive Academy Grooming Training Curriculum. This program is self-paced, allowing you to master each level before advancing to the next.

In this role, maintaining exceptional customer service is crucial. Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions are essential. You will also need to collaborate effectively with all departments and adhere to Puppy Paws Guidelines & Procedures.

Essential Qualifications

• A genuine love for dogs, a gentle touch, and a calm demeanor
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in brushing, detangling, and removing matted hair
• Provide a safe and positive bathing experience for dogs, including drying and grooming
• Perform tidy details such as ear cleaning, nail trimming, and paw pad care
• Address special requests from clients and report any health concerns discovered during grooming
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients and team members
• Analytical skills to assess each dog's behavior and condition
• Physical and mental stamina to handle large or anxious dogs safely
• Understanding of animal behavior to ensure a calm and safe environment
• Ability to maintain cleanliness in the workspace
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and work diligently
• Comfortable walking dogs of various sizes on leashes
• Team-oriented mindset, ready to assist in achieving daily goals
