This position involves on-the-job training, starting as a bather. Following your apprenticeship as a bather, you will have the opportunity to apply for our exclusive Academy Grooming Training Curriculum. This program is self-paced, allowing you to master each level before advancing to the next.

In this role, maintaining excellent customer service is essential. Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions are crucial. You will be expected to collaborate effectively with all departments and adhere to Puppy Paws Guidelines & Procedures.

Essential Qualifications

• A genuine love for dogs, a gentle touch, and a calm demeanor
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Skills in brushing, detangling, and removing matted hair
• Experience in bathing and providing a safe bathing experience for dogs
• Attention to detail: cleaning ears, trimming nails, and maintaining paw pads
• Ability to accommodate special requests from clients and report any health concerns observed during grooming
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members
• Analytical skills to assess each dog's behavior and condition
• Physical and mental stamina to handle large or anxious dogs safely
• Understanding of animal behavior to ensure calm and safe interactions
• Thorough cleaning abilities
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and work diligently
• Capability to walk dogs of various sizes on leashes
• Comfortable working in an environment with pet hair
• Team-oriented mindset, ready to assist in achieving daily goals
