Behavior Intervention Specialist

Job Summary:
The Behavior Interventionist will provide support and resources to academically and behaviorally challenged individuals or small groups of students. This role will assist teachers in providing interventions in reading and math to improve student achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer one-on-one interventions to students in a school setting.
- Participate in intervention meetings through Professional Learning Communities.
- Facilitate alternative school placements as needed.
- Collect data and record student progress notes.
- Monitor and assist students in prescribed learning activities.
- Report academic and behavioral progress of students.
- Serve as a liaison between the school and home.
- Provide resources and community wrap-around services.
- Conduct parent training nights.
- Assist students and parents with academic and emotional supports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree required, Master Degree preferred.
- Three years teaching experience preferred.
- Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate required.
